I am at a crazy point in my life where available space on my iPhone is more important to me than cost of a game.
Fucking Capcom and their constant upgrading of fighters with different iterations. I'm pretty much ready to move on somewhere else for my fighting games at this point.
this looks like it will be hell to play... but i bought it anyways because its $.99... i am a terrible consumer

Do you have much experience with iOS? This should have been an "in app purchase" upgrade - having so many damn apps to manage is a hassle, and Capcom is flooding the market with multiple versions of the same game, to flood the iOS charts.

Yeah I've got sf4 on my iPhone, picked it up upon release and have downloaded each update as soon as they were up for download.
I agree it would have been nice to have it as a free update for sf4 owners but Capcom have been excellent in their support of the app and I think it's fair to let them off releasing a brand new app.

I only just bought SFIV last week, knowing this was coming. I'm happy to wait for when Volt drops it's price in the future, whenever that may be.
Well, got the first one for a buck with the premise that having both will yield something, so yeah, nabbed this sucker.
I already had Street Fighter IV iOS when they did the Japanese charity sale, and now I got this for $1.99. Not a BIG change, but yay online.
