Street Fighter is being made into Monopoly
Thanks to a tweet by Alan Lee, we know there is going to be a Street Fighter Monopoly board game. Not only that, but it looks like fans will be able to vote on which characters are made into playable pieces. It is worth noting that USAopoly has some pretty nice games from other franchises as well, like a Metal Gear Risk or Donkey Kong Jenga. My hope is that the Street Fighter Monopoly game will do so well that they'll turn it into a Monopoly videogame. Monopoly: Street Fighter Edition actually exists [MCVita] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I hope it's better than Nintendo Monopoly. Buying characters instead of locations like Hyrule Castle and Planet Zebes? Come on, that's just lazy. I always loved Street Fighters' colorful, well-rounded cast of characters, but couldn't stand the whole "fighting" aspect. Having Ryu, Vega, Blanka and the rest of the gang involved in a high-stakes game of property trading should provide scads of fun for young and old alike! Sho-"Buy-You"-Ken, right guys!?
*passes out from excitement* I recall seeing a Risk-style Street Fighter game in a video from The Escapist. It was supposed to be funny, but like everything except maybe one or two things from there, it was as funny as malaria. My sincerest hope is people finally realize Monopoly is shit and play a GOOD board game, not one that's been crapped out with the same fundamental broken designs for 100+ years... A board game of a fighting game. Yep. I hope this releases on the same day as Battleship so the world can just burst into flames of confusion at what the hell was just unleashed. If they took their time on it, I'd buy a Mega Man Monopoly game.
