Street Fighter II HD comes to XBL Nov. 26, 'branded experience' tomorrow photo

First the really important news -- you see that screen up there? It says that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will finally be hitting Xbox LIVE on November 26.

But what are you looking at? Capcom has announced that its partnered with Microsoft to provide the first "branded experience," with the Super Street Fighter Branded Destination on the New Xbox Experience. Starting tomorrow, the destination will be the hub for all things SSFIITHDR, featuring picture packs, themes, and more.

Who's excited? Not about the game, of course. I'm talking about the new theme!

How the hell did Fighter's Generation get the release date so damn early? They must know someone on the inside.

Also, that theme makes me want to punch someone in the face. Over Xbox LIVE and real life.

Didn't someone just complain about SF2HD not having a release date?

"The original MMA series is back!"

Really? I mean, technically, there are multiple martial arts in the fighting styles, but that's the case with K-1 kickboxing, also. That's just kind of funny, really.

'Bout time!

I'm wondering the same thing about PSN too. Now that I have both I'd rather not have to use the 360 D-pad if I don't have to. I don't really care about ahcievements that much...

@ pendelton21:

As I was writing that earlier, I had been hearing the release date was going to be revealed soon. I didn't realize it would be this soon. Although admittedly, the date wasn't offically announced; it looks like they accidentally announced it in that screen shot.

If I were to guess, I'd say the game will come to PSN the following Thursday.

'Bout time is right!

And also agree about that 360 D-pad, PSN might be the way to go.

It's sad that people are choosing a game based on the d-pad. Both of them suck for fighters... for different reasons. The 360 pad has issues registering certain directions where as it's hard to roll half circles on the dual shock d-pads. Get a stick for the love of Street Fighters.

@danmartigan

I have no moneys for a stick... and controller-wise I've had a much better experience with the dual shock pad.

I've never considered Street Fighter an MMA series before but I guess there's no better way to put it in terms of relevancy.

YUSSSSSSSSSS!

Finally, a fucking release date. I'm so pumped for this. I get out of work at noon on the 26th, then a few days full of Street Fighter and turkey. So happy.
