Reader Brian Hackney gets some weird stuff in his mail. He just shot over to us some strange Dead Space 2 material that showed up in his real-life inbox the other day. The documents include notes from a doctor who seems to be taking care of someone who is undergoing transformation into a Necromorph, a Rorschach test and an envelope with a stain on it that resembles the silhouette of a man.
Not sure what it all means, but Visceral is a master of viral marketing so we're sure it will all tie together with some bigger overall thing at some point. It is also of note that the Rorschach test has glow in the dark lettering from the Unitology language that Hackney hasn't been able to translate. However, the lettering on the doctor's note says "The sickness is the cure! The cure is the sickness!"
We'll let you know further developments on whatever is going on. Hopefully this time EA avoids fake protesters.

In other news, turns out the obelisk you pushed into that crater or whatever happened at the end of that game is actually the obelisk from 2001.

the top left 2 lines say:
it was just a shard
it was red
there's some more stuff about symbols shouting, yea, I think most of that stuff is gibberish from Isaac going insane.
However, the top and bottom and bottom have numbers that list 42910.
And just like magic on 4-29-2010 a trailer appeared.
In the delusions category it says 'SHE' I wouldn't be surprised if they are pulling a double negative and 1544C is actually his dead girlfriend mourning the loss of Isaac by being in denial and wishing herself dead over him. Or some sorta other blend of occurences that leads to Isaac not being alive and girlfriend being alive. You see her more often than you see Isaac in the game and she's aparently just an illusion. So in schitzophreania ness it'd be Isaac that pulled that lever or w/e in that one event. So it could very well just been a foreshadow that the REAL Isaac is whatshername where as Isaac is just the illusion watching herself doing things.
