The above header image was purposely keyframed and photoshopped horribly to artistically represent my secret desire to strangle my Nintendo Wii. Luckily for you and the (imaginary) person sitting next to you, I have a great deal of patience. Storm Dain in the other hand, does not. For anyone that missed out on our "officially official" written review and video review of The Conduit, you can save yourself the Youtube trolling and check it out here, but if it's extra "lulz" you seek, then hit the jump and prepare for greatest, "for tonight we dine in..." oh never-mind.
That Quarter Ring error is annoying. Luckily it doesn't happen often and you can just wait to the end of the match and you won't encounter another one.
No, it wasn't supposed to be any of those things. It was supposed to be a video entitled "Storm's Adventures", but I guess you're seeing something different. Try refreshing the page. If it doesn't work, try clicking this link and coming back to this page.
Great video, Storm. I had a large issue with The Conduit's controls, but as you said, it's probably my own damn fault. I'll go back to The Conduit eventually.
As someone who has never seen your show, great job. Everything you said was right on the money, except you forgot about those bombs you need to blow up with the ASE. In TF2 I hope to get 1 kill in a life. In Conduit, I can get 6 or more.
I still love you, man. I agreed with everything you said. You might inspire me to make my own video reviews... too bad i don't have a video cam or direct feed to rip game footage... SHIT.
At first I was hesitant to watch this video because I thought you would end up mindlessly bashing my favorite online Wii game.
But then I watched it...
And I liked it. You were entirely fair with your review. The single-player campaign is fun, but limited by endlessly spawning enemies. And don't worry about trolls who attacked you when you said it was a hard game. I thought it was hard. I died. A LOT. But, you should have shown the sewer levels. Those were damn fun.
The graphics - I'd say they are great. It's the art style that everyone bitches about. But I have no sense of art, so I say, who gives a shit?
I've encountered the same multiplayer glitches you did. They happen. But multiplayer is great. Lots of fun.
The Wii Speak limitations aren't High Voltage's fault. I spoke to them at E3 and repeatedly reminded me in a rather sad voice that friend codes are being imposed upon them by Nintendo. They don't have a choice in the matter.
Overall, good job. But honestly, if you were trying to mock the game in some ways, you weren't really successful, because despite what you said, it got contradicted by the game play footage which made me think, "Wow. That looks awesome! I want to play that game!" (Even though I already have).
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I wish he would make them faster.
Hahaha. Ha.
Wait wait wait wait wait....that comment was supposed to be humourous, interesting, and/or relevant or contributive?
Hahaha. Ha. Ha.
