Halo: Reach

Storm's Adventure with Halo: Reach and Black Ops

2:45 PM on 07.19.2011

I guess the theme of this video is "I don't like old stuff."

And as a Destructoid viewer, I hope you can understand that none of my anger is directed towards you.

On top of the list today is Halo: Reach. I believe I've covered the other Halo FPS in a condensed fashion. To get a preview of the running jokes and spelling errors, click here. When the news of Halo: Reach reached my ears, nothing but toothbrush commercials and cheap jokes entered my mind. However, Halo has never forsaken me. Since the first person shooters have always been insanely well developed, it's hard to be classy when trying to humorously analyzing the game. And I think that becomes apparent two minutes and ten seconds into the video.

For some reason, I feel there should be something in between these paragraphs...never mind.

Now we come to Call of Duty: Black Ops. I have a bit of history with Call of Duty, here, here, and here, dating back to when I though it was another dull franchise making faggy World War II games. Now, it seems Activision can do no wrong. Of course, even though I found Black Ops fun, there's plenty of bitching when I'm on the case.

For anyone interested, here is the fan-made flash game.

Also, Sarah will not be pursuing a careering in acting.

Also, also, the Future Storm story arc comes to a close.  Continuity errors are abound.

This makes me want to get into Halo: Reach again

Listen, Halo. It's not you, it's me. I love you, I really do. You'll always be my favorite first-person shooter franchise. Lately though, I found someone else. Her name is Call of Duty: Black Ops and she's wild, man. Just wi...more

Review: The Deer God

In a lot of ways, The Deer God is a love letter to nature. The idea was born from the developers' childhood memories of playing in the woods and seeing wild deer, and that admiration of the outdoors is quite apparent. The for...more

Review: Pneuma: Breath of Life

Pneuma: Breath of Life is, through and through, a creationist tale. There's no theory of evolution, carbon dating, or Darwinism to cause debate. It's one god and the world that he brought into existence mere seconds earlier. As it turns out, being the only inhabitant of a world is a dull affair.more

Review: Aaru's Awakening

Aaru's Awakening is an unrelenting challenge of a game, which places players in the world of Lumenox, a mystical land in a precarious state of balance between four deities who rule it, Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Night. Now that balance is being disrupted, as Dawn sends a faithful warrior, Aaru, to travel the domains of the other gods on a quest to remake the world. Dark and twisted lands await.more
