Who's ready to beat the heat by basking in the wondrous glow of their computer monitor? Steam's here to help by adding to the backlog of games you'll probably never play. You'll have to pay, of course, but it's not nearly as much as you'd normally have to dish out.

As always, there's a list of games that are discounted throughout the entirety of the sale. Apart from that, the real good stuff takes place during the daily deals and flash sales.

And, to keep that cash flow flowing, Steam's offering a bit of incentive. Crafting the Summer Adventure Badge nets you one in-game item (or five for the foil badge), one emoticon, one profile background, a chance at a Team Token, and ten points (or 100 for the foil badge).

Also, you can randomly join a team, and all points you earn go toward your team's total. At the end of each day, 30 members from the team that's earned the most points will win three games off of their wishlist. So, make sure yours is updated!

See more of Platinum's Legend of Korra game

We're in a great point in technology that 2D properties can be faithfully represented in 3D instead of looking weird and uncanny. Platinum's Legend of Korra game looks pretty neat, even to someone who hasn't watched the...more
