Stop kids getting stabbed by not playing videogames every third Sunday photo

Wait, what?

Yes, according to one Japanese school, the answer to juvenile violence is to have them take a break from videogames once every twenty-one days. An 11-year old Marugame boy stabbed a schoolmate in the back with a pair of scissors, and his education board hit upon a revolutionary new way of ensuring it doesn't happen again.

Students have now received printouts from their teacher giving them handy tips that should apparently help ease the situation. One of the pieces of advice is "every third Sunday should be a day without TV and videogames."

As far as the stabber goes, he's been referred to the local children's counseling center. They're trying to work out what his exact motivations are before deciding anything else.

It was clearly because he'd been playing too much Scissor Stabbing IV: This Time, It's Scissor every third Sunday.

Don't they know the only way to reduce violence is to get rid of videogames altogether. Silly Japanese

I don't see a connection there...

Boys have been hurting each other before the time of video games.

Give em a stick... They'll hit each other.

Give em nothing... They'll kick each other in the BALLS!

THE BALLS I SAY!

The Balls you say, that's nonsense! neither me or my roommate have stick's that we choose to hit each other with and he's not coming over here too

I find this amusing since clearly their remedy is pretty much unrelated to what theyre trying to fix BUT chances are thisll be good for some of the kids.

I bet the kid stabbed the classmate because a long haired ghost told him to do it

The reason for the stabbing was probably because the victim suggested this gormless idea.
