Steam sales of Boxing Day: More of the same
Apparently you don't normally get two days off for Christmas in the U.S.? So weird. Good thing it's Sunday today, but sadly the Steam sales are all old deals.
Indie deal of the day:
For a full list of all Steam deals, you should check out Savygamer (warning: old country currency) or this sortable giant list. If you live in the UK or like to import things to the mainland, community member Gemsi has summed up the Boxing Day deals as well. [Image copyright by Nigel Williams] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I didn't know where to post this, but can you please sort out the Harry Hill adverts on the homepage. They play with sound even when the mute button's pressed and it's really annoying. Awesome, I was afraid I missed out on the ME sales, glad I'll be able to pick those up on the cheap. The Witcher needs a mention too. It's not only (almost) the cheapest game of these sales but clearly the best. I just beat the Witcher. If you can tolerate the crappy dialogue, you can extract 40 hours from it just by doing the main quest. The edition on Steam comes with 5-6 more stand-alone quests (sort of like DLC). Not bad for 5 bucks. ALL OF YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE TO NOT GET SUPER MEAT BOY. I just gifted to a friend today. team Meat and Danny B deserve all the money and love in the entire planet. Cant run most of them and i have no interest in Super Meat Boy. But yeah, overall its been a disappointing sale. Disappointing how? The only part I was disappointed in was Fallout3 getting less off than New Vegas, shits old man, I don't get it. I would rather buy a game that's been finished getting patched and DLC'd than a new one, but I'm not paying more for it, that's just ridiculous. I was expecting at least 50% off it this year. Other than that I've been happy, The Witcher and Darksiders hit really nice pricepoints. all I'm looking for is the Killing Floor, a bigger drop of Fallout 3 and Amnesia. Since my comp can't handle most of the sales or I just don't like the games, I think the Steam deals are fine, I just hope they pick those 3 soon. Apparently you don't in western Canada either... I would've really liked to have the 26th off instead of working 15 hours... 8:00 PM on 05.24.2013 Weekend PC deals: Chivalry, Torchlight, Unreal, DefianceTorchlight II was my favorite game of 2012 and if you haven't sampled its brilliant loot-driven action, then GamersGate knocking 50% off its price (and 75% off its predecessor) should be tempting. GOG.com has a range of moder...

9:00 PM on 05.21.2013 Guild Wars 2 sheds a little off its priceDespite not playing as much Guild Wars 2 as I'd like to, that's okay -- it's not costing me anything. I can continue not playing free of guilt, which is the only way I can do MMO gaming any more, I've realized. ArenaNet has k...
