Sadly, today marks the last day of Steam's holiday sale. With a few games dropped down to below $5.00, Valve is going out with a bang. There's no denying it.
- The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition for $2.49
- Dawn of Discovery for $34.99
- Section 8 for $24.99
- The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for $9.99
- Quantz for $2.00
- Evil Genius for $2.49
- Mirror's Edge for $5.00
- Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood for $20.99
If I had room in the headline to do so, I would have given Evil Genius some much-needed love. Give that one some serious consideration if you're feeling diabolic and have a whopping $2.49 to spare.
And since this is loosely related to the subject matter, did anyone else watch The Chronicles of Riddick over the long weekend? Yep, it was on TV. Riddick totally choked a dude without looking, stabbed a guy in the head, and then said some cool one-liners.
It was way less badass than I'm making it out to be. I still love you anyway, Vin.

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Mirror's Edge
Call of Juarez BiB
Monkey Island
All 4 of those are worth more than they are asking and anyone without them should grab 'em.
Unfortunately I own them all already. Dawn of Discovery might have been a GO for $20 or so, but not $35.
Also, for the love of Gob, if you're going to get one game off of Steam for today's deal, make it Evil Genius. I cannot recommend that game enough.
And I always thought that The Chronicles of Riddick (movie)--while not as classic as Pitch Black or as refined as Butcher Bay--is a great sci-fi movie, and worthy of the Riddick name.
Well, you just sold a copy. It's £1.74, can't really go wrong I guess.
"Dark Athena" is a steal at that price (if you've never played the original Riddick game, that is), same goes for Monkey Island.
Actually, I'm thinking about reinstalling Steam just for that Monkey Island deal...
Oh well.
I got Secret of Monkey Island myself
video for 'Quants' has the music that plays when i my balls are in silk boxers.
at 2 dollars - strike price just for the music
