Steam sale: 13 Star Wars games for $50, Force Unleashed photo

I'm usually good about resisting the urge to impulse buy from Steam, but jeez, the current week-long promotion for the Star Wars Collection is calling for me. For $49.99, which is half price, you get 13 separate games. Quite a few of them are actually worthwhile, too!

On top of this mega bundle, there will be a new daily LucasArts deal from now through the September 19. Today, it's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition for $7.50 (75% off). If you have 30 GB (!!!) to spare, you can grab it here.

I only really want KOTOR out of that list...And that's not on sale by itself...I'll just pick it up for the normal $10 then.

I would buy this, but I already got the Jedi Knight collection a while back soooooo aside from KOTOR (which I already own) that's pretty much the only games I would buy from that list.

Put up the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games on Steam already.

This would be awesome.. if I didn't already own most of the games that make this package worth looking at.

Like Keres though, still waiting for X-Wing/TIE Fighter. They probably won't ever re-release them though. LA seems to want to distance itself from some of its own best material. I guess it makes sense if you think making a new space flight combat game might make people less likely to buy the next God of Star Wars.

Damn, nice deal. Thank God I have no money right now (thanks, Reach) or I'd totally buy this :)

Also, I'm with UltorOscariot and Keres. TIE Fighter FTW!

I got KotOR all ready, but I really want the Kyle Katarn chronicles. Maybe Force Unleashed II as well, but I don't know how active it is. I do hope that Empire at War goes on sale since I've heard real good things about it. Well, time to wait.

friggin hilarious. I was just thinking about whether Republic Commando is backward compatible on 360 today.

Jedi Outcast and KOTOR are worth $50, each. I own a majority of these games, though, so I don't know if I can justify $50. I might get Dark Forces as that doesn't run on my PC anymore.

Watch out! I just bought the force unleashed, and it is a 25G download. No joke! Don't buy if you have limited bandwidth

Almost got Force Unleashed earlier but then I saw that it was freaking 30gb and decided against it.

30 Gig? How in the hell is this game bigger than Oblivion, Fallout 3, the entire Adobe Creative Suite, or a Full Install of WoW?

It's 30GB installed, somewhere around 15GB compressed for the download.

Supposedly it's a really bad port but I can't find much information about it.

Force unleashed also barely runs and has no PC settings to adjust besides resolution. 15fps on my modern PC. The game's not even that good to start with. Pick it up on console with like the sith edition expansions for $5 in the used games bin somewhere if you really want to play it.

That's a fucking awesome deal. Too bad my computer can't run steam because it doesn't have sufficient RAM and is old.

Yeah, beware about the specs for Force Unleashed. I have a pretty up-to-date rig, and it ran at no better than 15fps on its low settings.

Looks like I'm not the only one who passed on the game because of the 30gbs of data.

You know star wars hasn't been released on blu ray yet? How many more decades will we all have to wait until Boba Fett and the Bounty Hunter Wars is a PS3 grade FPS?

I doubt it will happen in my lifetime so Dead Space is close enough.

Perhaps right after steamboat willy becomes public domain - if the sun hasn't already gone red giant.

For the people who have been saving up money for this day, like me, it is a dream come true. I have been a Star Wars fan all my life! Time to liven my days as a one! My Joystick is out. My free time is spent! $50! Thank you Steam!
