We had nearly given up hope that Alan Wake would ever grace PCs, but the spotting of a Steam registry entry for the game (via NeoGAF) has me feeling pretty good. This method has been reliable enough in the past, particularly when it comes to figuring out what the next indie game bundles will contain.
With the announcement of American Nightmare still fresh on the mind, I'm eager to become Alan Wake once more. Actually, it's been long enough that I'd be down for another playthrough of the original game if a PC release happened beforehand. We're ready for this, Remedy. Let's do it.
[Thanks, Vallanthaz]
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Fucking loved that game.
I have waited so long for this day...
I will buy on PC for sure and if not then I guess my 360 would get it's second game, lol.
The whole no-PC version was an outcry when people didn't know how the actual game played as a whole. When it basically was just a neat little take on Dead Space except without the Sci-Fi, I lost interest.
Not saying its a bad game, but at this point in time I highly doubt anyone cares about it anymore, even if it would be released tomorrow on PC.
Sonic 4 Episode 1 has also been found in the Steam registry. That I'd like to check out after enjoying Generations so much.
Alan Wake took 14 hours for me to beat, that's at least 3 times longer than most non-sandbox games these days. Did you actually read Remedy's reason to abandon the old dseign? It made a lot of sense for the sake of the game. It's not like there would have been any sidequesting to do, the giant world only slowed the pace of the story and made the game uneven.
Also, saying "Pretty sure nobody cares about Alan Wake" does not make any sense when your comment is the only sort-of negative comment here. I say sort-of since you still enjoyed the game, but compared to the other comments it's the most negative ones.
I'd buy it again on PC, in fact, I'm the kind of guy who rebought it on Games on Demand just to support Remedy and AW even though I still have my original copy.
Great design awesome landscapes, stuning lighting effects but cheap storyline and weird in bad way ending :/
I never scared of Baba Jaga as a kid.
Seriously though, if this happens (along with American Nightmare) then I'll just throw my 360 in the garbage can. Or I'll throw it to the peasants.
Now if only Red Dead Redemption would come to PC also...
That said, I will buy it if it reaches the 14.99 mark. Maaaaaayyyybe 19.99. Maybe.
It... kind of feels like an Arcade game. Good, but not amazingly deep or to be taken too seriously. CORNBALL is the word I'm looking for.
You sound traumatized, Mr. President. May I recommend Dr. Tobias Funke? He's my personal Analrapist and I've had nothing but good times with him.
(WOOH! NEW ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT IN 2013!)
I had given up hopes of ever playing this.
