Steam now taking pre-orders for Dino D-Day photo

Dino D-Day has redeemed this sleepiest of sleepy news weeks by getting itself up on Steam for pre-purchase. There's no turning back now; the Desmatosuchus will have his day to shine.

To recap, this is a Source-powered, team-based multiplayer PC game in which the Nazis have resurrected dinosaurs. It's currently in beta, and the final version will unlock on Steam on April 8.

Many of us have unrealistically high expectations here, but when it comes to dinosaurs with mounted guns, there's no alternative. Enjoy the gallery of propaganda posters attached below as we patiently wait.

It looks like a crazy concept, but I'd like to know a bit more before taking the plunge and buying.

17.99 for Pre order not bad. Little sad they went with the more bird looking velociraptor rather than than the more lizard like from Jurassic park

Jurassic Park was wrong for most of the raptor stuff.

I actually played a little of it. With the exception of some balance issues, I find it to be quite enjoyable. I think I'll pre order it.

If there were a campaign mode for this game, I would consider getting it... but as it stands, this is just a revamped version of the mod. And while the mod is fantastic and free, I don't see where my money's going on this other than some fancier graphics.

@kingbui Despite it's overall horribleness, JP3 actually got the raptor rights; they were feathered and silly-looking.

The beta's pretty terrible

Which is a shame because the concept is one of the best things I've ever heard

This looks just like Dino-Ryders! I remember loving those toys when I was a kid. Here's a crappy web page about it but it does have pictures of the toys: http://www.dinoridersworld.com/mainpage.html

That Dilophosaurus poster might be the greatest image I have ever seen. Please tell me they're going to be selling those.

I want every single one of those propaganda sheets as a mini-poster. They're awesome.

@Occams electric toothbrush - yay land-squid! Perfect for the damn Natsees. The US clearly should use the Tree Octopus.
