Gatling Goat Studios' Traverser stars Valerie Bennett, the traverser with the ability to swap between the mirrored Uppertown and Lowertown, the two sides of an underground city connected together by gravity plates.

The city, called Corporation, has an economy based on air. The lower-class, closer to the core, refine oxygen for the upper-class who sit above them, away from the noxious core and crime-laden city.

You'll be tasked with sneaking around guards, solving puzzles with your gravity glove along the way. The above trailer is all cinematic, but there are some in-game screenshots in the gallery.

Traverser is slated to come out Q3 2014. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for it.

La-Mulana 2 aims to be more 'intuitive,' still hard as heck

La-Mulana was regarded by some as the hardest game ever. This isn't going to change, though Nigoro's Takami Naramura wants it to be slightly more intuitive so perhaps all those deaths don't lead to warranted frustration and ...more

Open world platformer/space shooter A.N.N.E is a retro buffet

Really, why even play clearly deficient retro games? I mean, where are the shmup segments in Metroid? Where are the open world segments in Contra? Where are the line segments in a bisected triangle? A.N.N.E. is one part platformer, one part shmup, one part RPG. And this year at PAX A.N.N.E. has all its systems in play. Maybe we'll all get to play it this year.more

Boy, The Hong Kong Massacre sure looks like Hotline Miami

Hotline Miami by way of Stranglehold or any other John Woo flick, at least. Which is appropriate for the setting. Though I'm also reminded of Michael Mann's Miami Vice movie for some reason. I guess it can't exactly be Hotli...more
