I have played many rpg's since the first final fantasy yes thats rite kiddies the first. Every Final Fantasy brought its own into the collection now I remember some one saying that they were dissapointed that every final fantasy didnt follow on. But hell we saw what happend with this with final fantasy 10-2 ... omg how bad did that suck!!.

Ok heres a good come back "but they were not square soft, they were the gay ass combo square enix ..." yeah you are rite but lets have a look at say if they were just playing with the first final fantasy .. do you really think they could milk 12 games out of 1 story .. methinks not!.

"but wait what about final fantasy 7 collection?!!?" Good question Billy, yes they are milking FF7 dry with Dirge of Cerb, Crisis core and before Crisis. Dont forget the movie advent childeren. Now hands up whos getting sick of them killing the FF7 story .. sure FF7 and the movie yea I can dig that but come on 3 more games .. nah ah they are just killing it now. My point from that is this is only 4 titles to the one game and whos getting sick of it already. Brings me back to my orgional point what if it was one story line .. I would have stopped buying and the 3rd one. Heck they wouldnt have even made Final Fantasy 7 the god of RPG's does it even fit in with FF6? God NO!.

So my thoughts on Lost Odyssey now that we got the FF out of the way.

Well the story line was impressive. "But wait its just a big game of emos and crying". Good point how much different is that to FF7 Cloud - I hate my self I cant save any one, every one sucks its only about me. Vincent - I must live with my terribe sin blah blah blah more crying. Areith dies more crying. Sephiroth - Every one is against me I must kill every one they took it away from me ahaha my precious, Ok well hes not as much emo as he is golem from LOTR.

The only difference is society, the same people that played FF7 back in the old days are the same people calling it an emo story. Whats changed? our ages and the word EMO!, we have all been conditioned to say FF7 Rules but almost an equally depressing story with equally depressing characters is well .. EMO!.

The gameplay gives off what is known from the turn based system that we know and love. Yes its awesome and NO it shoudlnt be changed. If you want to run around and hit things, go play halo. The music to the game is expectedly amazing as with the old final fantasies. Why you may ask? well simple Nobu left Square and joined up with myst. One of the story directers also Joined up with myst for all thoes that are playing at home.

Sure final fantasy has the name but Myst has all the big guns that fled from square.. Hmm? can we expect great things from square?

Lost odyssey was an amazing game, I could well even say that it was the second best RPG I have ever played. "But what is the best you have played?" .. well isnt it obvious FF7. But that is for another day.

If they make a sequal they shouldnt make it based on the same story and characters, but they proably will. I mean they are stuck on earth for an eternity aye? somethings bound to happen in that time.
