Star Wars: The Force Unleashed gets new costume DLC. You are all excited photo

Seriously? Are enough people still playing this, and liking it enough to want to buy DLC costumes?

Well, I guess when you're barely doing any work for the potential revenue, there's no harm in giving it a go. Thus it is, then, that LucasArts is today offering a few new costumes for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Xbox Live and PSN. If, for whatever reason, you are itching to play through the game again with a new skin, then here's what you could proudly own for around five bucks:

    *  Hooded Combat Gear
    * General Starkiller
    * Sith Assassin
    * Imperial Commando
    * Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker
    * Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi
    * Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker
    * Darth Sion
    * Ki-Adi-Mundi
    * Kit Fisto

Just for some context. Today's DLC was actually announced three days ago, but nobody even noticed until today.

So ... and I have to ask ... is anybody going to buy this? Has anybody played through the game more than once? I don't think I'll die a happy man until I've spoken to somebody who has actually bought this particular DLC. I need to understand how this type of thing might make even one sale.

There are far worse ways to spend $5 in the world of video games, let's be honest.

and was cod4 maps worth the 10 bucks? fuck no...yet I'm surprised how they sold...yes I bought this DLC last week, and it's fucking great..I've also played thru the game two times, going on my third playthrough...star wars was very well worth the money, it's too bad it didn't come in a collectors edition set, cuz I would of had that right away.

I'd get it just to play as Luke or Obi-Wan...if I had the game.

Then again, for $5, I could get, what...2 or 3 songs for Rock Band?

@Detox:

How can you possibly say a simple reskin is better than brand new maps? And yes, the new maps were entirely worth the money, as a game is completely changed when playing a new map. What does a reskin do other than give you a hardon for playing as a Jedi? You're blatantly a SW fanboy, which is fine, but it shouldn't make you think that map packs suck and reskins rule.

And spell my name right, dick.

'and was cod4 maps worth the 10 bucks? fuck no.'

Try telling that to me or the countess others who played the maps thousands of times, sorry but your argument is invalid.

Maps for such a popular, fantastic game was worth the 10 bucks, indeed the maps themselves were greatly designed.

So what are you surprised at??

Cod4 is ONE of the most popular games online, why wouldn't the DLC sell like hot cakes??

So, in short, stfu.

Yes, I bought it. But I'm exempt from any bashing because my son used his allowance. So there.

I read somewhere else that the new characters are merely skins and all of the new characters will still hold the lightsaber backwards like the main character.

Why. WHY?

Once the game drops to $29.99, I might pick it up. Doubt I'd want to own it long enough to invest in any DLC though. The demo was so mediocre.

The game was very fun. But why?

I'm sick of this trend of just adding DLC for the sake of it. I'm all for it -IF- it adds a decent amount of content to play through. But just for costumes and so-on? Screw that.

Can they reasonably expect a big rush for this? They probably aren't even breaking even between the profits on the DLC and the cost of creating it.

Damn, I'd be all over this if it weren't so overpriced. Hopefully the new Jedi Temple level is the same price; that would be worth it.

I actually love this game despite the design flaws and glitches.

If you buy the game used and then spend the difference on the new skins, it almost makes it like 30% worth the money.

@ Yukai

I agree with you, unless its FREE content.

like in dead rising, if you REALLY wanted to you could download more outfits for free, which was cool.

also, no, I do not wan-did anyone else have issues pulling down that stupid star destoyer? It took me a freaking hour because the tie fighters would keep showing up as I was pulling it down and by the time I killed them the ship had already turned around, and since I only had enough force power to point it at me before pulling it down I usually died or just quit in frustration!

bah! stupid game...
