Star Wars Legends rated by Aussie Classification Board photo

A new Star Wars game is slated to be unveiled at the Spike Video Game Awards show soon, on December 12th. And chances are it’s called Star Wars Legends.

The Australian Classification Board has listed an unknown game dubbed “Star Wars Legends” on its Web site. It has earned an “M” for fantasy violence. Sadly, the Aussie watchdog doesn’t break down the action like our ESRB does, but the listing does reveal the developer and publisher of the game: LucasArts and Activision.

Considering the mystery and high-profile publisher and developer, it seems like a safe bet that the VGA-reveal will be for SW Legends. Of course, we could be terribly mayonnaise on a ham sandwich. That is to say, horribly wrong. (Use mustard, idiot.)

Mayo is awful.

I hope this game brings back the Jedi Knight mechanics.

As long as it doesn't suck. Which it probably will.

I actually tried to buy a Jango Fett outfit for an "Alien-dress-up" party that we are invited to later this week, but it was too fucking small in height and waaaaaaaaaaaaay to wide in the middle, FUCK you americans for being short and fat :p ( yes it was the largest one available :-( and I'm just average height here in Europe )

Too bad. I was really looking forward to a current gen Battlefront. Even a non MMO KotOR wouldve been cool. But who knows - they're about due for a good SW game so this might turn out good.

If the developer and publisher are listed respectively, why the hell is Activision publishing the game? Besides the fact that Activision stinks of greed money, I thought LucasArts was more than capable of publishing their own stuff, especially when it's Star Wars. I'm not going to have any hype for this game since The Force Unleashed was just bleh after the world's biggest hype train got everyone thinking the game would be the Second Coming for videogames.

And mayo is nasty. On anything. Ever.

Is it like Soul Calibur Legends for the Wii, with Star Wars characters?

The name makes me think of X-Men legends, which, coincidentally, was also published by Activision.

Oh god...

Not Activision. Anything but that greedy publisher. Hasn't LucasArts heard of them? Their reputation? Ugh...

After laying off 200 people a couple of years ago and going 2 years where the biggest game releases were Monkey Island SE and Clone Wars Wii... I don't think they're swimming in cash anymore

@reindall

I would soooooo play that

This sounds like:

License holder: Lucas Arts

Publisher: Lucas Arts /Activision (joint effort)

Developer: either Activision studio Raven Software (creator of X-Men Legends 1&2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1) or Activision studio Vicarious Visions (MUA2)

Gameplay: extension of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance/X-Men Legends series but with Star Wars characters (the Marvel characters had already had their turn being exploited)

Platform: based on MUA1&2 it'll be on every platform known to man
