If that headline stirs up flame wars (that wouldn't have started on their own), then how would you word it? "Hey guys, don't be mad, we love you, but the Wii U gamepad isn't coming out until things support it. Chill bros, I'm sure it will happen". Gotta tell you, not that catchy.
But I'm glad a console that isn't even out yet is a failure <3
how about you just don't?
it amazes me how fast people can break things.
80% of all smartphones i've seen where broken in some way.
can someone explain me exactly how you do that?
when i buy something expensive i treat is as if i've just found the holy grail, i've probably gotten my fair share of weird looks because of that but my stuff also never breaks....
unless someone does the breaking for me... poor smartphone qq
However, I also think this is a smart move, because it means people can't get confused and by just the tablet and think it'll work with their Wii. While they didn't say that was the reason, I still think it'll help clear up that confusion that surrounded the device when it was revealed.
@that32bitguy
I hope that's a bit of irony at the end of your comment. Otherwise, your comment = failure.
I'm generally pretty careful with my stuff, but accidents happen. Have you never spilled a glass of water or stubbed your toe? Normally I don't have any issue with pieces of a whole not being sold individually, particularly if it's something that never moves. My consoles are at little risk because they are stationary. However, the WiiU GamePad is designed to be mobile. Things that move around are far more likely to be dropped, stepped on, etc.
Luckily I have patience, and I'm not one of those must buy day one/week one consumer.
I'll wait it out and twiddle my thumbs like I did with Mass Effect 3($20), the psvita, the 360/ps3.
Buying a console that just launched, rather than waiting a year or so is a horrible mistake in my opinion.
The waiting game is the game of the champions. Get on my level day oners.
Borderlands 2, pfft I'll brave the chaos at walmart on black Friday, or buy from Amazon for less than $60.
I'm actually interested in having two GamePads at some point. I'm sure there will be games where two players have information that they need to keep hidden from each other (e.g. Fog of War, Poker, etc.), and I'm definitely interested to play those kinds of things on Wii U.
I guess I can see the hidden info thing being appealing, but not for $150. I don't know, different strokes, I guess. It worked on the Dreamcast, but that's because the VMU wasn't expensive at all.
"Confirmed: monster hunter 3 ultimate will support 2 gamepads"
...is what I thinks.
@TheEvil1
How about accidents happen?
Or, you know, kids?
I mean, yeah I don't understand how people break their shit so easily either, or how you can put $300+ down on something encased in plasti just to treat it like its a Sherman Tank, but this is what (other) people do, and people will need replacement. Personally I take care of my stuff, and I've had it commented to me in past trade-in encounters that you'd think I never unboxed them at all.
I still hear people claiming how motion controls aren't a waste, yet no one would own the motion plus if it wasn't for Skyward Sword (and maybe a few Red Steel 2s)
@Hasney Yes they do stir up Flame-Wars.
What the fuck, sorry buddy. Just realised I spent all my money on this fantastic device that detects Nintendo employees posting on blogs sites.
Any idea why its going apeshit and its lights are flashing?
What's going to happen if there's a fault in the gamepad?
Its not exactly new tech but where's the guarantee that these things are going to work perfectly out of the box? Good luck getting a game shop employee to open and write off a console bundle so they can replace your faulty gamepad.
