Don't care for the new control scheme, in fact, it makes the characters control like elephants running over ball barrings.
There's no build up between jump ramps. the come up too fast, too frequent and You can never find a good rhyrhm.
Once-beloved characters are now devoid of their witty banter and replaced with characters with generic "attitude." They didn't even seem to bother to get people to reprise their characters.
Bit too much Brit-pop for an SSX game, too, not that its bad its just not what you want out of SSX. Oh, but they did make sure to work in Run DMC. Sadly, no Rahzel.

There's a classic control scheme that is exactly the same as the SSX1 control scheme. The only problem I have with it is that it favors the d-pad for flips/spins as opposed to the left stick. Not a big deal, but it's strange.
And considering the two characters you get to play as in the demo are the two characters with "attitude" (Mac and Zoey), I don't know if we've really seen if they've done that with all of the characters.

wasnt that how it always was? analog to steer, dpad to wind up? although you could do spins etc with the analog, it wasnt the main spin control. like you cant steer with the dpad, its only for winding up.

The demo doesn't show up on Xbox marketplace for me and the link in this article says I need Gold to download it.

Was looking forward to this, but it seems they have upped the difficulty curve... either that or the controls are terribly awkward.
PSN has not posted SSX demo yet as of 7:30 PST. Also original poster Holly Green, crop your photo just a tiny bit more. There's still the edge of a guy's face and that's no good.
