as much as i love ssx i was looking forward to the zombie game reveal. the set up had me pissing myself in excitment, fog, stormy weatherm and then....ssx...............

Ha, I have to agree with the people raging about the new dark, gritty look. Isn't SSX supposed to be colorful with sweet beats and tricks?
What is this? This is like anti-Tricky. Did they take a close look at what people liked about the series and then decide to go in the opposite direction? Smooth. All these years hoping for another SSX and this is what they bring.

I'm not too upset that the first cinematic trailer for an SSX game that showed no gameplay isn't like the original SSX. I also think it's probably a little too early to decide that EA has ruined what is going to be a reboot of a series for the current generation of consoles. But that's just me.
Now I've never been that much of an SSX fan, but I'm beyond disappointed such a normally colorful series has fallen to this Modern Battlegears cancer.

So much for hoping for another transcendence experience like Hybrid's Finished Symphony on Untracked.
They have time to see the backlash and retread, but until then many people are going to see SSX Black Ops and steer clear.
I think EA is trolling...I hope so anyway.

If they had announced SSX Tricky 2 I would have died. The fun of SSX was the wacky courses and the crazy characters. I thought tricky was a ton of fun and SSX 3 was very solid as a game and still fun.
I'm still going to have hope for this though. They could have made that trailer perfect by just having Psymon coming out of the heli.

While I love SSX and am excited for this, the trailer literally shows nothing. Maybe that the game is more realistic, but that doesn't tell me how it will play. Only in the commercial did they say that the mountains were based off real locations, but that doesn't sound too fun.
Well let's at least wait for an actual gameplay trailer before we all crap our pants in disappointment.
I'm really hoping that trailer isn't indicative of the final product, because that is not SSX. At least, not the SSX that I want.

Does that final shot hint there will be base jumping in the game? That could be awesome. I think this game looks pretty good, I don't mind the darker tone as long as they have varied environments and an open mountain like SSX 3
