Sssh! Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer comes to DS, PC photo

Have you ever seen Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer on television? I don't think it is supposed to be funny, but I can't stop laughing when I watch it. I think it has a lot to do with the incessant "ssssh!" noise he makes at dogs when he wants to "control" them. You know they hate that. One day they're going to rise up and eat him alive for it.

Believe it or not, Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer is coming to the Nintendo DS and PC this fall. The player will be confronted with 40 different "dog issues," and will have to learn to overcome each of them. You're a doggie rehab trainer? As our own Editor-in-Chief said this morning, "I don't even recognize videogames anymore!"

"Ubisoft's team has done an amazing job turning the 'Power of the Pack' methodology into an interactive experience," said Cesar Millan. "The game is easy to play and offers many fun ways to learn rehabilitation techniques that can be applied to dogs in the real world."

My guess is that you'll use the stylus to do that weird mock bite/love tap that he does all the time on the show. I think that's even worse than the "sssh!" thing!

Have you put your pre-order in for this yet?

Check out the screenshots below, or I'll pinch your side with my hand sharply. Sssh! Also check out the release and a great video after the jump.

September 10, 2008 – Today Ubisoft announced that it
will develop and publish a video game based on Cesar Millan's unique
rehabilitation method to eliminate problem behavior in dogs. Designed
for the Nintendo DS(TM) system and PC, Cesar Millan's Dog
Whisperer(TM) is scheduled for release in fall 2008.

Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer(TM) uses interactive games to teach Cesar
Millan's world-renowned methodology and help owners understand how
their dogs' minds work. The player is confronted with 40 different
common dog issues and, using Cesar Millan's guidance, learns how to
deal with each of them.

Best known as the charismatic host of "Dog Whisperer" on the National
Geographic Channel since 2004, Cesar Millan has spent over 20 years
working as a dog behavior expert and developing the "Power of the
Pack," a unique methodology for fixing dogs' behavioral problems.

"Ubisoft's creative team has worked in close collaboration with Cesar
Millan to create a game that successfully delivers his unique approach
to dog behavior rehabilitation," said Christian Salomon, vice
president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft. "The player takes the
role of Cesar Millan's apprentice and learns all about dog psychology
through imaginative and entertaining gameplay."

"Ubisoft's team has done an amazing job turning the 'Power of the
Pack' methodology into an interactive experience," said Cesar Millan.
"The game is easy to play and offers many fun ways to learn
rehabilitation techniques that can be applied to dogs in the real
world."

I'm afraid that whenever I hear the name "Cesar Millan," I will ONLY be able to think of the South Park episode where Cesar Millan shows up to domesticate Cartman.

"The game is easy to play and offers many fun ways to learn re`abilitation techniques that can be applied to dogs in the real world."
Fixed.

Doesn't this directly clash with the "do not attempt these techniques without the supervision of an expert" warnings at the start of each show?

No, it's "Tsst!" That is the onomatopoeic spelling.

God, I sadly know at least 3 members of my family that will buy this. And that doesn't include me, thank God.

I'm guessing the PC version isn't going to be on Steam.

NO way
What you are seeing is Abuse.
The dog is afraid and kicking any living being is wrong.
I do not care if you want to shot the stuffing out of an animated thing but kicking a live animal is wrong.
