Square teaser site was for Lord of Vermillion 2 photo

Leave it to Square to get us all excited about a teaser site and then have it be for a Japanese arcade game that we won't even get our hands on. Yep, you heard me right: that VII teaser we saw a few days back was for Lord of Vermillion 2, the sequel to the original arcade game. It will also feature characters from Final Fantasy IV, Romancing Saga 2 and Magic The Gathering, which might be semi-exciting if we could actually play it.

Anyway, it will be out later this year in Japanese game centers, so if you happen to have a visit planned there make sure to keep an eye out for it. Square , listen to me and listen well: the next time you put the number VII in a teaser, it better have a blond spiky haired hero attached to it or so help me god I'll hike it up there to your offices and set your bushes on fire. Do not f*ck with my Final Fantasy VII memories, got it?

why am I not getting this? I see Lord of Vermillion but then I see the screen shot which has nothing to do with LoV... what does those 3 titles up there have to do with LoV or am I missing something?

Maybe it's just me, but this interests me more than an FF7 remake. I'm seriously impressed that they managed to get Wizards of the Coast onboard to let them use Magic with it.

I think Square has given enough to the FFVII fans, I was hoping it was a remake or sequel to FFVI(little hope), but at least we get Kain, Rydia, Edge, and Golbez in an adventure that adds nothing to canon and will probably not be playable in the US.
Or if it has to be FFVII(since it usually is) how bout a 16 bit remake, huh square, you already have the sprite for Cloud from FFV remake, how bout it.

Why the fuck did they even put a "VII" there if there isn't even a fucking 7 associated with the game? "7 Days," whooooo, but seriously, stop that shit.

Square is no longer allowed to use the numeral VII unless it's FF or Dragon Quest.
