thank you now i wont be able to sleep tonight
well it looks like the "heavy rain experiment" was a success to me, good sales, good reception and good press
hopefully this will make game devs and publishers more confident on unconventional games
In a seriousness though, Heavy Rain wasn't that bad.
"I still don't know what a sanctum pulse cocoon purge fal'cie is"
Honestly, it's not that hard to follow the story in FFXIII. You're kind of insulting yourself by saying that.

This 100x over.
It helped to read the blurb at the beginning of the manual but they definitely throw too many fantasy words at you. Unless you're Tolkien, throwing in a whole bunch of fictional terms just confuses the audience. You can't really blame someone for getting a little lost when the dialogue does its damndest to talk circles around the player hoping they'll keep up. Fal'cie and L'cie were the most confusing by far and unless you read the manual, L'cie are confusing for a little bit and the relationship between people and Fal'cie isn't really spelled out and instead it's something you need to figure out for yourself.
Nice, I didn't even have to say anything to refute. You summed everything up nicely for me.
It looks a lot better in motion (aside from the janky somewhat disturbing sex scene).
thats not fixing, thats making the entire game all over again, its not like you can "patch" level design
And regarding FF13, it's not that it was 'hard' to follow per se, it's that it required a load of fucking boring research that most people didn't see as worth it. It needed exposition that wasn't shit to nonexistent.
