Multiple jobs confirmed

While we already got a pretty damn good Final Fantasy for 3DS, Square Enix has revealed another Final flavored project -- Explorers, by way of Jump Magazine. It's a multiplayer action RPG involving crystals, summons, and multiple jobs. So far the Knight, Monk, Black Mage, and White Mage classes are confirmed.

Four player co-op is a thing, and apparently all jobs will need to work together to really succeed. The summons are the core enemies in the game, and the idea is to defeat every generation of these archfiends. It's heading to 3DS at some point -- no word on a release date or localization.

Final Fantasy Explorers will arrive soon in Japan, and it'll come with a few changes that aren't typically in 3DS titles. For one, it won't feature full 3D -- I'm kind of 50/50 on it myself, so I don't mind either way. The go...

Finally! A game that understands me on a personal level. Final Fantasy Explorers will feature Freelancers. Kind of like me, except these freelancers can create equipment for themselves using raw materials. When you start out,...
Japan just had a third-party Nintendo Direct, and it decidedly focused on Final Fantasy Explorers at the start. Square Enix revealed that the game will be hitting Japan sometime this winter, which is a fairly quick release given that it was just announced. If you want to see the game overseas, make sure you pray to your favorite summon that it sells well over in Japan. I call Odin!
