Did you hear? Dragon Quest IX is quite popular in Japan! So popular, in fact, that Square Enix has opened up a bar themed entirely around the legendary RPG series. Ludia's Pub is opening on January 28 in Roppongi and it's a ludicrous idea.
Ludicrous it might be, but given Japan's rabid obsession for Dragon Quest, it will probably do quite well. Fans can hop in to game with fellow followers of the franchise, but they can also get some food and drink while they do it. Can't be a worse idea than that restaurant WWE tried to make work in New York a few years ago.

The WWE tried a make a themed restaurant? Ha, I can guess that on their menu it goes something like this..."Ask us about our 'folding chair special'!"
For some reason, this story gave me a flashback of the "stripper" scene in Dragon Quest VIII.
