Holy Butz/Bartz!

We knew it had to be coming soon after the Japanese App Store release, and now here it is: Final Fantasy V is available now for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. This new mobile, touch-screen version of the Super Famicom RPG adds new job classes, including the Gladiator, Cannoneer, Oracle, and Necromancer. It also brings an optional boss named Enuo, designed by Tetsuya Nomura. And, as you'd guess, the graphics and characters have been overhauled for this port.

Final Fantasy V is available now for $15.99.

In related news, mobile RPG Chaos Rings makes a move to Windows Phone today. It's compatible with version 7.5 of the OS, with 8.0 support coming soon. It's priced at $9.99, available today.

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is out today, and it kicks the crap out of All the Bravest

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest was a travesty. It played itself, it was pretty abrasive in its pandering, and the microtransactions were so pushy that it was hard to enjoy it without feeling like you were constantly being sold something. Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is another free-to-play game in the same vein, but it's a much better effort that doesn't feel straight-up insulting to fans.more
