Bravely Default: Flying Fairy

Square Enix 3DS RPG Bravely Default looks lovely

2:00 PM on 12.19.2011

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, that game that gave me goosebumps at last year's Tokyo Game Show, has been kept quiet since then. We've seen a few screenshots, but not much else.

Today we have a strangely soundless video of the main character walking about the overworld map, found on French site Gamekyo. Sure, he's not doing anything in particular, but you can see how lovely the art is for the various locales, and I love his leisurely pace as the world goes on around him. I'm excited about this game's painted look. It really shines in the night scenes, with the indoor lights flickering from the windows. I bet the scenery looks really neat in 3D.

This video isn't much more than a tease, but we'll take what we can get for now.
