It really looks good BUT I find the buildings look kinda like... weird. Can't really describe it clearly but I'd like it more if the characters integrated more to the backgrounds. Still love the artstyle ^^
Agreed with Issun. Has that FFVII/ResEvil2 separation of characters from the environments. It looks like they just used a concept drawing and chopped it up into low-res texture maps. On top of that, just walking? No other gameplay? I dunno...
I was gonna wait till an edition of the 3DS that came with two thumbsticks by default, but if this gets localised, I might just have to get it right then. Between this, Theatrhythm and the promise of a new Etrian Odyssey, the system's looking to finally be getting its act together.
As for the Vita, Persona 4 The Golden sold me all by itself - didn't buy it on PS2 since I hadn't finished 3, and I really do not have that much time around consoles anymore.

I know the background is handdrawn and made in a way that they'll be 3D, and that zoomed out it looks amazing, but (maybe it was the youtube resolution) when it zoomed in, the background looks like of crappy.
I really love the art a lot but every time i think about this game i picture painful gameplay of classic 2d rpg's and text heavy stories.
So... why is it that the "bearable" (non-movie-like) RPG's coming from SE nowadays all have to have 3D chibis?
I know quite a lot of people who hate the style 3D chibis, which means I''m alone in playing them, which means I'm heavily detracted from wanting to buy those.

@Drquint you shouldn't be putt off by a game because none of your friend are interested in it, and you're not entirely alone you can always talk to people on Dtoid about it.
Square better get this right still fucked off at mess of Mana on IPod and get ripped off on Chrono on Pod
This thing's gonna have an FFV class system, which I've always said we need to see more of. Blue Dragon also had that, and it was great for it.

I can dig it. Hopefully we'll see some more actual gameplay though. Pretty environments can only keep one interested for so long.

So perhaps this game will have real-time day/night cycles? This game look so cool that I don't think I'll care what the combat is like.
