Spyborg's devs looking at Balance Board support, using every Wii peripheral ever photo

When speaking with Spyborgs creative director Mike Stout, he admitted there may be a chance the team could include Balance Board support in the Wii exclusive.

"It would be really cool," he said, "but we're not sure if we can yet. So there are a few opportunities for it in other places of the game that we haven't talked about either, and we're also thinking about that."

Balance Board support seems an obvious choice, since one of the game's characters, Kinetic, rides a hoverboard of some sort. But what about other peripherals?

"One of our programmers joked that we should support every peripheral," Stout said, laughing. It would just flash up on the screen -- 'Alright, put on your dance pad now! OK, plug in your Wii Zapper! Plus in your Rock Band drums!'"

Hey, maybe they're on to something here ...

Hey, nothing wrong with offering the opportunity for someone who owns that secondary peripheral to use it. So long as it's not mandatory. I got wiifit, so I'd at least try it - but i ddnt like the wii wheel, it was fun for a little while. Girlfriend digs it though.

If it isn't mandatory, I don't really care. But if you have to use them, don't think I'm getting it.

It's great that third-parties seemed to have jumped onto the Balance Board bandwagon so quickly.

I think if this game turns out into some sort of action/adventure cross between Ratchet and Clank and Beyond Good & Evil, Balance Board could be cool. It isn't like they're rushing this game out--it's not releasing until mid 2009.

I wonder if this keeps up with third-parties using the Balance Board well... if I'll have to get one. =\

actually, I think the balance board might make for some really cool and immersive aspects in games of the future. Though I wouldn't want to play right next to my coffee table.

PERIPHERAL HERO- Can you say 'killer app'?

Hey Bionic Games- we don't mind if you use the Balance Board, just make sure the actual game is good first, a'ight?
