Spore Creature Creator Vs Square-Enix: Chocobo, Cait Sith and more

I have to admit, as cool as Spore's creature creation system seems to be (Hamza hasn't shut up about it for a full week), the naughtier characters are a little tasteless for my personal preferences. However, get some of my favorite Square-Enix mascots in the game, and I find myself warming up to the whole idea. Call me crazy, but I prefer a Moogle to a disfigured porn reenactment any day.
 
In addition to the Chocobo above, you can see a Moogle and Cait Sith from Final Fantasy VII after the jump. These were created with care by our own Destructoid community member sylphx, who says that creating each took an hour or more. Nice work, Sir!
 
He's also working on a model of a Cactaur and a Tonberry, so keep an eye on his blog if you want to see these famous characters Spore-ified as well!

I'm wondering the same as Scotty, also I need to spend more time with the Creature creator, I just tested it a bit yesterday.

Same as in real life, most likely yes but the original stuff will go mostly unappreciated.

Wow.. you can do alot of amazing things with this.. i made a couple originals..nothing special but even my bad ones have a charm to um...Cant wait for the full game

angling the spine is pretty easy in the CC and the limbs shouldn't be too hard to put on. He wont walk very pretty though.

sweet, that chocobo looks really nice. i have had a lot of fun making things with creature creator but haven't tried anything like this. it is inspiring though
