Split/Second triggers a 'Power Play' on PSP this holiday photo

Disney Interactive's frantic, high-speed, Hollywood blockbuster-style racer Split/Second is headed to the PlayStation Portable this holiday.

The publisher announced the title today, saying that it will feature "unique handling and controls" for the portable, as well as one new track and challenges not found in the console version released earlier this year. You'll also be able to link up for four-player races locally, which is great if you happen to know three other people who actually own and use a PSP.

Folks who own the PSPgo won't be left out in the cold, as the game will also be available as a digital download.

"I don't want to play an awesome game on a PSP?!?!"

What the? I don't even? The level of sheer absurdity is overwhelming.

Seriously? You think it's an awesome game, but you DON'T WANT IT on a portable platform?

I really don't understand some people here.

I have only played the demo of the main game, and didn't really rate it, it was OK, but the actual driving felt a bit shit, but IF I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME I would certainly want a version I could take in my pocket.

The PSP really get's some retarded pointless hate.

Yeah, driving games on PSP are terrible. I always wondered why people clamored for a 2nd analogue nub when the 1st one is terrible.

Games that use digital controls are alright though.

@Aurain It only controls like shit if you've got gigantic fat hands and/or just fucking suck. I have never once had an issue with the controls for Peace Walker.

WTF? the controls for Peace walker are perfect, they even give you three diffrent control types,
but like someone said: "It only controls like shit if you've got gigantic fat hands and/or JUST FUCKING SUCK."

If someone tells me I can use the d-pad for Peace Walker, I'll consider re-buying a PSP at the end of the month.

Bad idea. No one bothers with PSP games. Well, some do in the east for the few popular franchise releases, but other than that, it's a dead platform for game development.
