Split/Second cover art plus a bunch of new screenshots photo

Most. Exhilarating. Headline. Ever.

Today is a very good day for anyone looking forward to Black Rock Studio's Split/Second. First off, we have a North American release date: May 18. That's certainly a long time from now, but if it means actual, worthwhile videogames to play late this spring, I'm all for it.

Next up is the game's box art, which is in the gallery. Since seemingly every time I have written about cover art has ended with someone calling out my preferences, you'd best take my approval of Split/Second's box art with a handful of salt.

Finally, a ton of screenshots were sent our way and are also viewable in the galley. They were even nice enough to include some honest-to-goodness unaltered in-game shots, if you can believe that.

Game is looking good, if the gameplay is as good as the graphics I'm sold.

Since Criterion is working on Need For Speed, I'm really hoping that Split/Second becomes the new Burnout.

It was fun at PAX, so I'm really looking forward to this.
