Splinter Cell D.A. and GRAW jump to Games on Demand photo

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Splinter Cell Double Agent are, uh, sort of available for download through Microsoft’s brilliant Xbox 360 digital distribution platform, Games on Demand.

GRAW is available in most regions. The list of exclusions includes the-always-forgotten Australia, Korea and New Zealand. In North America the downloadable is priced at a bloated thirty bucks and … wait ... GameStop bargain bin just called us. It said it wants to chase whatever dragon the Microsoft pricing gurus have stuffed in their shoes.

Anyway, Splinter Cell Double Agent isn’t so available. People living in -- or possessing an account for -- Australia, Germany, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and North America will not be able to download the game on their Xbox 360s.

Have fun with Double Agent, Antartica. We heard it was pretty fun. Shoot us an e-mail and tell us how this thing performs as a Games on Demand download.

Just... fuck you microsoft. Fuck you.
You could be gupdating with quality games at a quality price and INSTEAD you give us this shit. I dont care if these games are good, its STILL shit. Maybe a notable game like say... Crackdown? Or how about Gears of War? Or maybe Call of Duty 4? You know stuff people CARE about?
Fuck you microsoft. This is atrocious.

I think people are overreacting to pricing and selection issues, but that being said, I don't ever see myself buying one of these with the pricing as it is. The only exception might be Burnout Paradise (currently priced at $19.99) since that's a game I'd play endlessly anyway.

Now if they have deals of the week include these games at half price, I'll probably bite.

30 bucks for GRAW 1? I wouldn't pay that much for GRAW 2...

I think GRAW 2 can be found for about $20 dollars now, so...yeah, Microsoft can go fuck themselves.

I love GRAW, but $30 is beyond retarded. Who's in charge of setting these prices?

Microsoft's pricing structure is very simple.
They rented out the chimpanzees at the Seattle zoo and they let them choose which games go on. And by "choose" I mean give them a hole room with 360 games and whichever games the monkees eat first, those are the ones they pick.
God.

Double Agent and GRAW are both $10 on Steam for PC... usually PC is cheaper, but still that is a large difference for the same product, basically.

I really enjoyed Double Agent, despite the fact it was a bad PC port in a lot of ways, and not as good as Chaos Theory. Anyone who hasn't played it should get it on Steam, or in a store for the Xbox.
