Splinter Cell: Conviction release date: 4/13/10 photo

Ubisoft's long-awaited Splinter Cell: Conviction finally has a release date, and it's been literally set in stone. The European publisher has carved the release date on an actual stone and sent it to IGN, thus demonstrating that this release date is final and that there will be no delays ... at least for now.

Conviction will ship on April 13, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PC. That's about all there is to it. So, let's ask the question: Who among you is buying this bitch?

Just in time for my birthday. Shame I don't have a 360.

The co-op looks intriguing enough.

Collector's Edition pre-order. I'm a huge fan of the series, and really looking forward to the return of co-op. Co-op was just another reason why Chaos Theory was the best game in the series to this point, hopefully Conviction will deliver the same satisfaction.

Additionally: Dibs on Kestrel.

I'm gonna be all up on that madness. I'm a huge Splinter Cell fan and the way they're revamping the series only makes this one ten times better.

This revamp looks like it'll finally be the first SC games to get me to jump. I've always found the series interesting, just haven't played the games for myself yet. Looks like that might change in April.

I've never played a Splinter Cell game but I think it's about time. I know this is probably not the best one to start with but it looks like a lot of fun.

Day fucking one. It looked good enough as is but when they announced it getting pushed back for even more polishing, that sparked my interest more.

I've owned nearly every Splinter Cell game and have only beaten one of them. After a few hours something, maybe the overly punishing stealth system, just gets to be too much. Conviction, however, is looking to be well on its way towards solving that issue. I'll be picking this up day one, no question. Here's hoping they manage to win me over this time.

After reading the book of the same name, I am fucking stoked. ...and I usually hate books(*GASP!*)

Seriously, if you wanna know how stealthy/puzzle/tactical the game will be, get the book, its short and amazing as hell. Less delays plz.

As for me, the 'punishing stealth system' was absolutely great. Sad, i'll propably be missing it in Conviction.

Just because it's written in stone...

Doesn't mean they can't throw that stone out the window and into a lake.

Confucious say.

I'm hoping that the multiplayer will revert to be more like the titles on the original xbox. Double Agent's was something new and different. I got used to it eventually and did like it, but nothing like the previous titles.

I spent many hours on maps such as vertigo plaza...ahh the good ol' days...

I will buy this game. Because I want it. Because I like 8-bit Mega Man. And that's that. No pessimism is going to deter me from my goal!
