I recently had the pleasure of attending an Activision press event in Las Vegas, as you may already know if you read my preview of Prototype. Earlier in the day, we were given some exclusive hands on time with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which you can check out when it goes live later tonight.
On my way to see Transformers, I bumped into the HipHopGamer, who was sporting a huge golden pimp belt (as you can see, I'm spinning it in the screenshot above). It was a pleasure to meet another gamer so exuberant about what we were there to see, and he had me laughing many times for the rest of the evening. Also, I got to hold the belt! Cool guy. Basically, none of us should be suprised that chronic blazin, beat mashing, lyric spitting hooligans from 'the streets' are playing Bonk. Assume they are! And this guy clearly isnt a hooligan. I bet when he`s on his own, he speaks in a perfectly pronounced English voice. BET YOU. There hasn't been a time that I've seen or overlooked a title of his articles, that wasn't misleading. 65% of the titles of anything he's written tells us his prediction or speculation without actually stating that its a rumor. I take that last part back, because if anything he said were a rumor it would have more than one individual speculating such. Not sure why the lambs here have decided to defend him or praise him, regardless he is a disgrace, in my opinion to gaming journalism.

Also, as a total aside, I'm irish with a fairly obvious accent, widely regarded as one of the major plus-points of my heritage. But gods do I love listening to good american accents! =) You guys make me grin.
You have to keep in mind that Hip-Hop culture is very much about self promotion. Up and coming artists have to get their word out somehow, and if you're meek and don't talk yourself up, nobody is gonna want to hear your flows, and you'll end up with a stack of your own cd's collecting dust on a countertop. Convert that energy from "buy my album" to "check out me and these games" and it's the same type of result, just with a different formula.
And Colette's a cutie, for sure.
