That is to say. I quite enjoyed SFIV, though BlazBlue was definitely my favourite fighting game this year.
everything else don't care.
Other than that I am actually pretty surprised about the awards as I think I either agree with most of them or feel like they weren't as predictable as the pessimist believed.
I was surprised that Chinatown Wars beat Bowser's Inside Story too after all the rave reviews favoring BIS.
Also, U2 won the most awards of the night, but if you weren't paying attention, you missed it. Way to go, Spike.
How can a film win Best Director and Best Screenplay but not Best Film?
Ah well, no point getting riled up over a video game event like this that has absolutely no credibility, relevance, or common sense.
All other categories aside I believe this year's Best Soundtrack Game should go to something not catering to the metal world of gaming. Metal music is great as it's own caste of music, but it should not headlien or overshadow complex musical orchestras. Any other game besides DJ hero or any of the other nominees should deserve that title more than that piece of crap. If this is the future of videogame soundtracks then I fear for both sides of the conflict.
when the actors are fucking terrible (e.g. Nicolas Cage)
But the Studio of the year wrong. It HAD to be Naughty Dog. I mean, they achieved a game that looks gorgeous, runs smoothly and only loads one time during the whole game (when you start it), with a great story and really fun gameplay.
Wish it also won action/adventure.
its all up to votes, because if it were a panel of judges or whatever U2 would have got both
In fact, I'm surprised to see Uncharted on the list, it's too high quality for the brand of people who care about Spike TV.
