I've been waiting for this. I know what I picked for my top games of the year, but I wanted to see what the top five nominations were when the votes from my peers were tallied up. Here they are:

  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Portal 2
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

Are you surprised by any of those? You shouldn't be! I kind of wish Dead Space 2 was on the list, but otherwise I have no complaints.

The VGAs have also revealed the most anticipated games of the year. You won't be surprised to see BioShock Infinite, Diablo III, Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, or The Last Guardian on the list, I'm sure. If you want your say on which will win, you can put your vote in now.

The VGAs will air December 10 on Spike TV and MTV2 this year. Mark Burnett, producer of Survivor, The Apprentice, The 63rd Emmy Awards and others will be the executive producer of this year's show.
