Spectral Force Genesis: Screens and box art photo

The last Spectral Force named game I played was...not that great. Sorry. I have higher hopes for this title, Spectral Force Genesis, coming to the DS by way of Ignition this spring. This one is different, though. Idea Factory has mixed a combination of war sim and strategy RPG. You'll oversee diplomacy, war tactics and even taxes on one side, but you'll also find yourself right in the heat of battle, controlling SRPG game play as well. I'm really interested on the scribble screen-style battle system, which has you drawing pathlines for attacks. I look forward to playing this soon.

We have both the box art (above) and new screenshots for Spectral Force Genesis today, which you'll find in the gallery below.

I think it looks nice. Anyone else looking to try this out?

I'm still annoyed that you reviewed SF3 and Zoids Assault, but never did Operation Darkness (arguably the best of the 3 Atlus SRPGs).

That being said I tried SF 3 and the game looks horrible on a tv. On a handheld however it has potential. I hope this does well for them.

I've never played a Spectral Force game, but this one has me very interested.

Possibly the best part of the Spectral Force series is that its artist draws women with absolutely incredible breasts. They kept me playing Spectral Force 3, and if this game eventually gets to be as cheap as SF3 was, I'll pick it up.

For the breasts.

I played the European version (even featured it here) and thought it was pretty good. Don't know if it was so good I'd buy it again, though.

Yes, strategy RPGs are my weakness. Even when one can be pretty derivative and by the numbers I somehow find they can be enjoyable. Must... buy...

I guess breasts are also a nice bonus... :D

I'm a massive strategy/rpg fan, but I couldn't play Spectral Force 3 for more than 15 minutes. This looks much more appealing. DS + SRPG = win

I find this enticing, actually.

This looks like Dragon Force on the Saturn. A game worth getting if it is of the same quality... :O)
