2K Games has done a great job making the Army of Two- games look fantastic, both in terms of history and gameplay.

Wow I'm surprised to see everyone so gobsmacked at how good this game is. Might even have to pick it up
I really liked the demo. The set-pieces were great and the look of the game was surprisingly striking. The gameplay was at least as competent as any third person shooter I've played.
I thought it was great too. I with Agent0range, I absolutely loved that guys weren't bullet sponges. Shooting feels real good. For me, the demo did its job; it's got me looking forward to it quite a bit.
Game is playing rather well I especially like how there is more than one button used for cover controls. Wasn't mp supposed to be in this demo though? I was in the closed beta 2 years ago and it wasn't doing so hot but with the updates in the sp I'm hoping it turns out well cuz they had some great ideas back then with their maps.
The gameplay was nothing to write home about, but the story and general setting are curious enough to make me think this might be worth at least a rental.
I like the sand physics, so hopefully they'll do a bit more with that in the full game.

Awesome? If by awesome you mean generic and dull. Downloaded this off of PSN last night, played through it, then promptly deleted it. Graphics and gameplay were nothing special. I thought this game was going to be unique, considering how the devs were talking this up. Thought the story was interesting, until I remembered that I've already seen the movie Apocalypse Now. Oh...and no more Nolan North. I am so tired of hearing his voice.
The controls were loose, the on rails section in the beginning was one of the worst I've controlled; in a linear fashion you kill waves of enemies until they're dead. I'm not trying to sound like the game is the worst ever, it's actually decent, and I'm sure those who are use to the average shooter will find lots to love.
But man was I disappointed, one thing this game could have benefited from is a more open design, and that cool thing where you interact with your environment are set pieces in disguise, and like I said, you go from place to place shooting waves of enemies, and it's not fun.
I'll pick it up in a sale, a 20 dollar sale.

I thought it was pretty cool and definitely fun. What killed it for me? Fucking lens flare. I know, I know, its the bright ass desert. I got a damn headache while playing, just like mass effect. I did keep going for mass effect(s) though and if this gets good reviews and word of mouth ill grab it. Just not $60 grab it.
wow. i started it up, was bummed at the generic rails shooter, more so with the linear corridor baddie popoff that followed. I had this in my list till the demo. the set pieces and graphics are amazing, but the rest turned me off.
Awesome? I though it was brown and after that I heard Nolan North, shot down helicopters (yet again) and thought: "wow, how mediocre this feels", Though Dubai buried in sand looked kinda cool.
It definitely has a gears feel going but they took it far enough away that it feels fairly unique, at least for a shooter. I'll be getting it once it's cheaper and i don't have a backlog so massive, but that's almost entirely placed on the story. Being based on Apocalypse Now is just asking to be bought.
Solid demo. Loved the controls, gunplay, and setting. I mean it's a shooter, so I wasn't really expecting it to be totally open (although that would have been awesome in Dubai). Also I always felt I was playing like Nathan Drake's long lost twin brother. Nolan North is awesome, and he tried to differentiate his voice, but many times he channelled Drake, without the wisecracks of course.
I waited a long time for this game. It's about time it came out. The thing is, the demo made me even more impatient for it's release date.
Awesome environment, boring game. It's a competent shooter, but it does nothing new. You will fire pistols and machine guns, have some on-rails segments, throw grenades, and experience scripted set pieces. I'm just bored by games like this now, so I will definitely be giving it a miss. But if you want to spend hours shooting at waves of enemies, then this is the game for you.
