Legends of Pegasus already sounds like one of those games you play all throughout the night in one massive marathon session while neglecting to eat entire meals along the way. It's a 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) space sim being developed by Novacore Studios and published by -- who else? -- Kalypso Media.

The game won't be out until the second quarter of 2012, but we have the first details and screenshots. It's supposedly a blend of real-time and turn-based play, with an emphasis on ship customization as you control the last surviving humans trying not to blow themselves up.

Could be one to watch.

Crookz puts a '70s heist movie spin on tactical gaming

A tactical game with a '70s heist movie theme? Finding something like that at gamescom is about as unlikely as finding a videogame trailer with porn star Ron Jeremy in it. But here we are with both. more

Invisible, Inc.'s tactical espionage action hits Early Access August 19

Invisible, Inc. is going to be one of my obsessions this year. Enough that I am actually going to play a game while it's in Steam Early Access (PC, Mac) rather than waiting for the hard launch. Plus, it will be priced at $16 while in Early Access before bumping up to $20 at launch.more
