If you're an Android owner like myself, chances are you're probably more than a little envious of all the great games that wind up on the App Store. Luckily, every so often one of those titles makes its way over to the Droid Market and helps make life on the Wild West of mobile devices a little more bearable. Such is the case this week with Space Invaders: Infinity Gene

It's taken two years but Taito's latest shooter is finally making its way onto Android devices. Infinity Gene isn't only a brilliant reimagining of a classic series, but is absolutely stunning and features a fantastic chiptune soundtrack. Android-owning shmup fans that have yet to play the game on iOS or the HD console version are in for a real treat.

Space Invaders: Infinity Gene is landing on Android devices tomorrow for $4.99.

One such release is Neo XYX, a new (yes, in 2014) game for the Sega's last console, making this the second Dreamcast release this year. It's also the best.more

Impressions: Luftrausers makes too much sense on the Vita

Luftrausers is perfect on the Vita in the same way Vlambeer's Super Crate Box was perfect on the Vita. It's "perfect for the Vita" because it's a great game. While either title, with their minimal arcade sensibilities "make s...more

Doujin shmup RefleX reverberates on Steam

RefleX is the latest doujin shmup from the localization-smiths at Nyu Media to arrive on Steam, and it won't be the last. It's the second title in the Tale of Alltynex trilogy, which raised over $14,000 on Kickstarter last s...more
