Famitsu is reporting a shop called "Idea Frames Omotesando" will be selling limited edition Space Invader products for a pretty penny in 17 days. It is unclear if this is only happening in a specific store or is also open to the public, but we have details from their own web site as well.
Among the products are vintage L33T casio calculator watches, a space invaders rock guitar, plush
dolls action figures, hard gay bags(?), notepads you'll never ever want to write on, and so much more. If you're among those poor people who purchase every video game product they find crafted on Etsy, you probably want to walk away from the computer right now before you do something foolish. Is the wallet nowhere near you? I'll take your word for it, read on:

For full comprehension of the event,
start by reading the breaking story, then see
this related story about the store, and end up at the
Space Invaders anniversary web site (which is thankfully in english) where you can download cool stuff and learn more about the surrounding events. They are really milking the nostalgia on this campaign and I'm sucking it up. If anyone knows of an equivalent hoopla over Chopper Command, please let me know. There has to be a 70's t-shirt somewhere with those three doomed little trucks on it.
Until then, here's the shop where you can pick this up from in 17 days. Hopefully they open up some inventory online. If they don't, you've got two weeks to make a penpal in Osaka.*

*I was joking, but funny enough my childhood friend married a girl from Osaka and now they both live in Miami, it can happen. The miracle of importing by plane shall not be underestimated. He's actually an editor on Destructoid and an authority on the subject.
Need some tips? Whala.
