If you've been getting trounced in Namco Bandai's Soulcalibur IV regularly, it may not be because you're bad at the game. Why not blame it on balancing issues? You don't suck, people are being cheap!
A new patch is available for (at least) the Xbox 360 version of Soulcalibur IV that addreses some of these issues. It's an impressive list of changes, but perhaps only the most hardcore players will really notice. 8WayRun has put together a frightening list of tweaks, including details like "damage scaled down to 70 (before was 90)."
Honestly, I haven't played enough Soulcalibur IV to notice that frame-timing changes were made to character combos. But if you have, this may be the patch to level the playing field for you and your fellow competitors.
No word on the PlayStation 3 version of the update, but it should only be a matter of time before the speed of Darth Vader's "Imperial Storm Force Cannon" is tweaked. (Note: I totally made that up.)

A beautifully named piece of shit, but it's still shit.
@Holytheline
If you like Soulcalibur games, then yes. It is.
Those things are hard enough to do in the first place! What the hell.
"You can Just Impact throws."
I'm assuming this is for attack throws.
I haven't been playing this game a whole lot, so I guess these changes won't affect me too much. Gotta be honest, I haven't gotten my $60 worth yet.
@Holytheline:
Yes, this is the first great SC since SC1.
NO
Anyway, I have mixed feelings about this patch. On the plus side, they got rid of some nasty glitches and infinites. Unfortunately, they mostly weakened characters who didn't need it, and didn't do much about the more overpowered ones.
Now if only online play could be smoother...
ALSO: Where on earth is that picture of Ivy from?
This is what I get for not drinking enough coffee on a Friday. Oh well, that original pic is definitely my favorite of the bunch.
Also, do want that Ivy in my house. Right now.
Or in my pants.
not that I can blame them......
