From the trailer, it seems that this game is one part Advance Wars, one part GTA, and a whole big helping of RPG. Now, I say that it's like a GTA because you can go around and steal stuff, attack the townspeople, and ... gain 1000 levels instantly? Not only that, the game rewards you for this sort of scrupulous behavior. You can even force the townspeople to join your army. Hooray conscription!
Anyways, the game looks like it'll be the perfect thing for me to keep playing my PS2. I missed out on Disgaea (and won't play Disgaea 2 until I obtain the original), and this game has the same squad system as before. Some of it confused me, like the "gain 1000 levels INSTANTLY," but I'll pass that off as something ridiculous and a bit of a joke within the game. I'll be sure to follow this game as more news comes out.

Anyway, you can gain mass amounts of levels by putting an unleveled character in your party while fighting on a high-level map. Its not uncommon to jump hundreds of levels in XP through this method, and with all the different bonuses you can earn, its not completely unthinkable that you could do 1000 levels instantly.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds awesome. But with that kind of leveling ability, and the apparent uselessness of money, how on earth is this game going to be challenging at all?

Cause, of course it'd be brilliant marketing to sell solely to a system that has a horrible playerbase even compared to its own predecessor, especially with an extremely niche title like NIS is known for. Seriously, think before you type stuff out.
