Soul Calibur IV dated and priced, plus in game footage of Darth Vader and Yoda

We've only been treated to CG footage so far, but now we finally get a quick glimpse of Yoda and Vader battling it out. It's very short, but it's probably enough to get all of you Star Wars and Soul Calibur fanatics excited in the pants area. Yeah, that's pretty much it. We get a few seconds of the Star Wars legends fighting it out spliced in between CG footage we've seen before.

We do have some more good news though! Soul Calibur IV has been confirmed to be coming out July 29th here in America. There will also be a collectors edition of both versions of the games which will come with a comic that sets up Soul Calibur IV, extra customization content, and a tournament kit -- whatever the hell that is. All this will come in a metallic casing and retail for $79.99.   

You know what? I'm tired of Darth Vader and Yoda! I want to see some new footage of Ivy and Taki fighting. Nakedly.

Thats just fucking stupid... and I used to like soul calibur. Whats next... no blur in the sims bathroom!? The world is going down hill people, down hill.

you know i dont understand wats with the negativity towards SC4 its like every one hates the idea that yoda and vader in it but why? starwars franchise is a complete sell out in the very beginning; why cant u guys be happy that you get to play Vader an Yoda with the same awesome mechanic that SC4 is renown 4. however Yoda juggling looks a bit overpowered. . .

Would be sweet if that move where Yoda jumps onto his opponent's axe and rides it were in the game, but something tells me that's just some programmed actions from the developers.

As much as I was surprised at the original announcement of the two characters, I've grown into the thought. Sure, it makes no sense at all, but the SC franchise has proved to be a solid and fun fighter. The characters seem to be shaping up well, and hey, if DV/Yoda can get a few more rounds out of the game with my friends, all the power to it.

And I still don't really care or like Vader and Yoda in it. To be honest, I'm much more excited about Hilde.

hopefully the collectors edition won't be as shitty as the DMC4 CE is. then again, I don't think most CE are anything worthwhile.

and yes i'm tired of Darth Vader/Yoda dick. Can I have some Sophitia/Tira boobs please?

Doesn't everyone already know that a lightsaber cuts through almost anything? It would cut a sword in half, then you, then cartirize your torso. Yes, yes I know lightsabers aren't real.

I guess I'm getting the special edition, then. I just wish these new special editions weren't frequently retailing for $80 instead of $70.
