Soul Calibur IV box art revealed: PS3 is Dark Side, Xbox 360 is light side photo

Is Namco Bandi trying to tell us something here with these Soul Calibur IV box arts? Is the PS3 the evil side and the Xbox 360 the good side? Who cares, they both look amazing. It works out really nicely too. Having Darth Vader accompanied by Nightmare and Ivy who are a couple of the evil characters from the game matches nicely on the normally black system. The same goes for Yoda who's accompanied by Siegfried and newcomer Hilde as the light characters on the normally white system.

The box arts have popped up on GameStop's Web site but it isn't known for sure if these are the final versions. Hopefully it is as they're both fantastic. Plus, they're pretty similar to Soul Calibur 2's box art variations so these could very well be the final versions, hopefully.

So the only question left to ask is which version are you getting: Sith or Jedi?

Because Soul Calibur didnt sell a copy until they insulted its fans by putting Star Wars characters on the cover...

Guess everyone has forgotten about these.

I'd say these are final or near-final, and I'd also say that Namco-Bandai doesn't care what you whiners think. That Star Wars peanut butter is going into that Soul Calibur chocolate whether you like it or not.

It be nice if they did a multi-platform re-release of SC3!
My biggest concern isn't who's in what version, it's what version of the characters we will get -- the Vader and Yoda from Ep. 4-6 (original trilogy) or the excessive CGI Vader and Yoda from Ep. 1-3?

I actually like the 360 cover. I think the white looks good but I'm not a fan of the PS3 cover. I just think it looks ugly.

The 360 one would be perfect without Yoda, (I know...Bandwagon, but not because I don't like Star Wars in my Soul Calibur, but because the pic of him doesn't fit. The PS3 case is the perfect example of how to blend in the character.

PS3 case > 360 case. Which in turn obviously means PS3 > 360 in gameplay, consolewise, saleability of console. Yes, That's sarcasm.

I think the PS3 art looks better, but I'm fine with the 360 art, which is what I'll probably be getting. For a moment, I considered buying both, but then I remembered that I never did that for SCII and decided on 360.

Personally, I like the SW additions, as long as they won't be used as a main point in the game, just new characters...

If this game kicks ass (which it likely will) it will be the last straw and i will finally force myself to buy a 360.
And thereby starving to death as i wont have the cash to feed myself.

I'm going with Sith, since I have a PS3. But I would really have loved to play as Yoda, Darth Vader is cool and all, but Yoda flippin around everyone is so cool looking.

Mr.Disco said it best. The guest fighter has ALWAYS been on the cover. You people are honeslty whining about it? So what, these guys just.. shouldn't be on the cover? Cause that seems to be all you people are bitcing about. I'm honestly pretty stoked to rock shit with little YODA and most of you guys need to eat breakfast or something. Stop being so pessimistic.
