Thats why we get dumbass propoganda like this.
If the new one is out by then, I'll get it. If not...no biggie. It's not like it's not worth it.

Sony won't drop the price of older PS3 models
The reveal of a new, sleeker SKU usually means that the archaic, older model is due for a price drop. Sony, however, is to such expectations as Ms. Friz is to that boy who just wants a normal field trip. Previous PS3 systems are not due to get cheaper in the wake of the slimmer one. "There's no price drop formally," SCEA VP John Koller told Engadget. "But the thing that's been happening in the market over the last year or so is that there's been so many retail price promotions, and so many different gift card offers and all those things, being done by all of us (Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony), that we've heard from our consumer, 'Enough with all these weird price moves. What we really want is content and games and value.'" I love publisher spin, and this is Sony at its finest. Presenting a fixed price point as something consumers are demanding, like refusing to reduce the cost is a favor to us all. Thank you, Sony! Your desire to make more money is an inspiration to philanthropists everywhere. Seriously though, Black Friday's coming up. Methinks we won't need Sony to drop that price between now and the end of the year. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)wow, I will never complain of 'weird price moves' if there is a price drop. So consumers hate price drops....interesting. Yeah, but it wont batthink. Sonys everybit as eager to hit reset this gen as nintendo was with the gamecube, they just cant afford to follow through with it anytime soon.
Thats why we get dumbass propoganda like this. Meh, so what? I'll pick up a new PS3 probably within the next month. I've got my PS3 in the man cave, but the kids only have 360 in the living room, and they bust my balls about getting a PS3 for the LR.
If the new one is out by then, I'll get it. If not...no biggie. It's not like it's not worth it. You know what I find funny? Everyone complains quietly about what sony does, yet people had the nerve to rage at Platinum games about Bayonetta 2 being a Wii U exclusive. I understand why Sony did what they did but if people where outraging and yelling on their twitter page, im sure they would be less retarded Unless you shop at Kmart my god they suck you have any kmarts near you that sell two worlds 1 for 60 or darksiders 1 for 40 cause i do Stop bitching. There are millions of Slims in the channel right now. They need to sell through them or Sony and the retailers will take a major financial cut by doing so. It's business. $250 for a 160GB Slim is still a fantastic value. I paid $400 for mine when it had 1/4th of the library it has today. When the Slim starts to get low on stock, they'll drop the price of it, and lower the 250GB Super Slim to $250 (or less). Please, help me understand, Sony! I'm soo confused over how much money I could possibly save, that I need someone like you to take away more of my money so I don't have to worry about spending it elsewhere! they sold the console for a loss at launch to mid product cycle Jimmy so it's understandable if they wanted to make a profit, same with that Vita thing that you hated so much, I don't understand why you own one. your flamebaiting is showing again. 3:00 PM on 06.18.2013 Impressions: Logitech G430 Surround Sound Gaming HeadsetMy experiences with sub-$100 headphones haven't been the most positive.
