I don't think I've ever heard any consumer say such things. We can pretty much figure out what content we want and what has value.
Anything with an online pass - which PSABR and GoW: Ascension are likely to have - disqualifies itself from the term "value."

The only complaints about price moving come when something is raised... Prefect example being how the slimmer model is more expensive.
It sure would've been nice if they justified the higher price of the Slim with a return of PS2 chips on board, and ensured the device was capable of seamlessly streaming all content to a Vita (even if it's restricted to local wifi)... I guess giving PS3 owners a WiiU competing feature isn't all that enticing to Sony... Dumbasses.

@LittleBigD - I think we complain because Sony is the ONLY of the big three that holds on to a high price point for as long as they possibly can get away with it.
They are about as prideful about their hardware and proprietary storage as Square-Enix is about charging as much as they can for software - even when its a port.

I mean, once the Slim-1 came out the first iteration of the PS3 was only on shelves as long as stock held out, and then the slim was all you could get. They aren't exactly telling us that here, cause -usually- they'd just come out and say it. And if anything they're making it sound (maybe only sorta) that there maybe so much of a difference that you'll want to weigh the value of a slim-1 against this slim-2.

I think its a little bit more excusable than the PSV because it still sells. PSV seems to be totally fucked and a bigger problem for them.
Yea screw all these weird price moves that actually make these systems more affordable I like things to stay at the status quo makes me feel like the world is stable. In all fairness though they do have a lot of games coming out soon so I imagine they are probably just trying to capitalize on that after poor performance the last few years.

Also, I shall be waiting with baited breath to see all the extra content (and firmware updates) that Sony will undoubtedly be putting out with all the extra money they will make by not cutting prices.

Obviously they want the new model to sell better than the old one, so they make it more desirable by making it's own competition less desirable. If they price dropped the current model you'd obviously buy that as it's the same device.

I used to really like sony products. I have a ton of them but I'm seriously sick of the company and I've started switching to other companies. Hell, I seriously thinking of switching over to fucking Nintendo for consoles next generation and not bothering with PS4 but I game primarily on PC anyway so it probably won't matter. But ya these PR people are fucking tools.
