At some point later in the week, Sony plans to update its online Trophy viewer, thereby giving people a reason to actually look at their Trophies through their browsers. The big changes all tie in to PSN data comparison. According to the official PlayStation blog, users will be able to compare Trophies against multiple friends and monitor each other’s achievement-level progress.
A small walkthrough video showing the changes was released earlier today and is available below the fold.
In addition to the Web page improvements, Sony plans to link Trophy data to Sony portable IDs. In the near future, you’ll be able to flash your gold and platinum around the Web with ease anywhere that allows a Sony sign-in. Neat, right?
I log in, then click on my profile and then it just says it can be displayed due to some error. They need to fix their fucking site before doing any of this.
I saw the words Sony and was hoping for a PS3 update of some epic proportion but I was disappointed.
Sony, I want 1) A price cut (even though I own a PS3) 2) Backwards compatibility 3) Cross Game Voice Chat 4) Home to be good/fun/interesting and 5) Some movies and 6) More PS1 games and a PS2 store.
It's gonna be a little while until we get that PS2 store Zippy. Sony still is trying to make a perfect emulation on PS3. Even the old BC PS3's aren't 100% perfect emulation. There are some games they have trouble or can't even emulate at all. With that said and getting back on topic, this is nice but completely unnecessary. But I guess a step forward is better than a step back.
Arrrgh! I hate trophies and prefer to ignore them... in fact I'm getting to the point where I purposefully try to avoid looking at them at all and just play the game the way I want to play it.
