I don't know why they wouldn't just convert this into a PS vita app? give psp people an incentive to upgrade and keep all their stuff?

I just remembered about the comic store when I started up my PSPGO today. Did people really use it though?
I think that with Marvel and various other distributors having their own apps now available on various tablet/phone devices, that it's hard to compete and Sony may even be experiencing issues in regards to the rights to various series.
That being said, they have the Crackle and CrunchyRoll apps on the PS3 that have a ton of anime content and if these apps aren't already available on the Vita, I'm sure they will be soon.
In regards to comics, again, there are the DC, Marvel and other apps available... possibly these apps may eventually also make their way to the Vita.

This is actually why I'm so afraid of digital download platforms. Fortunately I only had free comics on the PSP but what if I paid a couple hundred dollars on comics I had to way to read anymore?
@Scield then you'd have to store them locally and hopefully figure out some way to back up/load them as necessary. (I don't know the specifics of how to pull this off because, lolPSP) Ideal? No. Possible? Sure.

@Tony Ponce: Yes it is. The failure of this minor digital store doesn't mean the whole digital distribution industry is poised to fail. This particular concept just didn't attract enough interest, apparently.
As a member of the minority that actually cared about this, I hope it does spell the way for the PSVita reader. The PSP Reader was actually REALLY cool and had all kinds of neat effects. All Hail Megatron is a blast on it.
This is pretty much the reason why I'm not a big fan of Digital stuff compared to physical products.
I will never feel that I actually OWN a digital game. I only own it as long as the service it was downloadet from is still online
