It was Jak & Daxter's tenth anniversary on December 4, and Sony decided to commemorate it by sending me a Precursor Orb today. This is a limited edition replica of the artifact, found in the Jak & Daxter series, and I've taken some photos of it because it's a Friday in December, so why not?
After ten years, can we be honest? That's not an orb. Orbs don't look like Easter eggs. I should know since I eat five Easter eggs a day because I am fat.
The Jak & Daxter Collection will be presenting the original three games with HD and 3D support in February. That'll be quite exciting, won't it?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
See, Sony still loves you, Jim. =P
I'm a huge Jak & Daxter fan. I must have one of these Precursor Orbs.
That being said, I really hope make the HD collection available for the Vita as well. How awesome would that be?
Sony, I don't need a precurser egg though. Just give me the HD collection and then announce Ratchet & Clank HD and Dark Cloud HD collections. Then we're good.
Of course, that's because adults work in their PR departments, and they can take any of the shit I give them on the chin. It's pretty rad.
you mean they're human beings with an understanding of compassion.
hehe oh I'm awful!
@DrRockso87
.... Ortogs don't lay eggs.
Also I just realized that the Daktaklakpak were the original HK47.
I wonder if they ever send stuff to anyone else, or does Jim just cherry pick all boxes coming into d-toid and just takes all swag as his own. its like " addressed to dtoid bill... addressed to dtoid bill... addressed to dtoid box from atari... hurf hurf blimey clearly this is mine righty-oh chirp chirp cherrie!" And floats away on his magical umbrella with new swag.
happy 15th anniversary crash (late probably)
I think I love you. You have no idea how long I've been waiting to find someone else who prefers CTR over the Mariokart series. Jim Sterling, I already loved you, but now, moreso.
Also, that's a nice egg right there.
There is no central office so I can't really "cherry pick" anything, I just get what arrives. Dale gets a lot of stuff too, as Editor-in-Chief (probably more stuff than I do, in fact), and other editors get other things. Since we never know stuff like this is coming, we just deal with it wherever it lands.
Hope that helps!
So Clever Naughty Dog!
Still so hype for this release. Jak I was the first PS2 game I 100%ed, expecting to see Crash Bandicoot at the end doing his dance.
I wonder if they'll make a new game in the Jak universe as well.
